25 Jan the dolly parton challenge…what everyone missed

I have to agree that Dolly Parton is a 74 year old badass bosslady who can do anything, has done it all, and still is influencing our culture in a big way.

The theme that isn’t being discussed in the challenge is how @dollyparton has overcome so many challenges. From being born in the middle of no where, to a family that had hardly anything, to being a woman in business that is often overlooked, underestimated, and valued based on vanity, she has broken all of those barriers and paid the wave for so many more.

She has provided a map as how to do one thing over and over and over and over again….consistency in being true to your values, family, and self.

In a world in which people manipulate photos, venues, social situations, and postings on multiple channels to gain a few more likes, a few more RT’s, a few more follows, and a few more shares she reminds us of one thing she’s all done, fucking #beyourself

No matter the channel, venue, setting, or stage, there is one thing always true of me, consistency.
